Join NowSlant board loading to COG + vertical jump
As previously mentioned, slant boards help reactivity and ankle loading by altering the ground surface and creating various angles that illuminate sport specific chaos. Perhaps the reason more athlete’s are getting injured has something to do with the foot and plantar fascia/ lower ankle complex being incapable of rotating with force. Perhaps there are components of kinesiology that are being neglected at all levels form professional to youth. No one wants to admit this, but pro athlete’s should not being tearing their Achilles in week three. That is training. Whether its over training, not training enough, or training improperly—it has to do with athlete’s being stuck in positions in which they need to explode. If the ankle cannot rotate with force, good luck and coming down from a dunk, rebound, jump ball, fly ball, ect. Changing the ground surface can increase nervous system function and improve ankle proprioception for movements related to anaerobic force. Try 3 sets of 2 each way?
