Landmine Lateral Loading

The landmine is an extremely undervalued component based on how easy it can be utilized in cross planed exercises that involve sport related movement patterns. The landmine offers an easier way to linear load certain patterns that may be difficult with traditional exercises. Here is an example of a loaded lateral power exercise that increases lateral first step acceleration. Remember, loaded power is difficult and should begin with lighter resistance until proprioception (muscle sensory) has adapted for higher velocities. The goal of power is to move weight fast. This takes a lot of skill and practice. Try this for 3 sets of 3-5 reps.
