Seated 90/90 Clearance

FRC can and should be practiced before OR after lifting, running, biking, hiking, swimming, competitive events, ect. Mobility training is a journey depending on the history of the individual’s training methodologies, injuries, stress and tissue adaptations over decades. For some, hip mobility will be easier, such as for a swimmer. For a powerlifter or NFL athlete squatting 600lbs—the next day will feel like trying to open a jar of jelly with a wet hand. Specific lengthening or shortening of the tissues impose different demands. In kinesiology, we call the this the SAID principle. So, what I am saying is, its not a competition. Some Mom’s will make men look super weak. Some women can’t plantarflex their legs in a shortened position, the point is to get over the fear of what you may look like to make your joints feel better. “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”—Joseph Campbell
